The Colour Reader CR-20 is an affordable handheld colorimeter for measuring absolute colour values and average colour of a sample or batch. By maintaining annual maintenance & calibration of the device, the CR-20 provides the most economical approach to traceable colour data in 8 commonly used colour spaces/indexes.

Colour data is displayed in either L*a*b*, L*C*h, Yxy, Munsell (D65), WI (CIE/ASTM E 313-96), Tint (CIE/ASTM E 313-96), YI (ASTM E 313-96).

Despite its simplicity, the CR-20 is a true colorimeter in full compliance with CIE, ISO, and DIN standards.

Features

The CR-20 is a simple colorimeter ideal for basic absolute colour data measurement and averaging colour data over a sample or batch. The instrument is supplied with a traceable white calibration tile which allows the operator to measure traceable colour data.

Built-in backlit display: measurement data and average colour is clearly displayed on the large built in display.

Onboard control, setup and export software: device software executable is stored in the device memory for easy access when plugged in to the PC via USB cable. Measurement data, averages and time and date information can be easily exported to MS.Excel format.

Small handheld device: small and light, the device is supplied with a soft case for protection and convenience.

Fixed, sealed 8mm aperture: the instrument target mask features an optical glass plate that protects the optics from damage or ingress. The sealed aperture is also convenient for sample presentation of powders, granules, viscous opaque liquids/pastes.
