How are vision systems used in automotive manufacturing?

Eines vision systems are used to conduct quality control inspections during manufacturing processes. Cameras, sensors, and image processing software are used to detect, interpret, and analyse visual information, providing objective data and dependable quality control. The range of systems available includes solutions for the presshop, bodyshop, paintshop and final assembly.  

Different configurations are available for common automotive assembly requirements, including tunnels and cabinets specifically configured for the needs of OEMS and TIER 1’s. 

A range of defects can be identified, classified and analysed, including paint defects, metrology errors, scratches and dents, etc… 

How Eines Inspection Systems Work

Eines inspection systems combine high-resolution cameras, specialised lighting and advanced image-processing software to automate quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Depending on the application, systems can be configured as inline inspection tunnels for full vehicle bodies, metrology solutions for dimensional verification, or dedicated inspection stations for individual components and assemblies.

As parts or vehicles pass through the inspection area, the system captures and analyses thousands of images to identify surface defects, dimensional deviations and assembly issues. Inspection results are presented in real time, enabling operators to quickly locate defects, classify issues and initiate corrective actions when required. Every installation is customised by Eines' experienced engineering team to meet the specific quality requirements, production environment and throughput demands of each customer.
